The short version
This is a personal site with a chat agent on it. It keeps simple, first-party analytics (which pages are viewed and what is clicked), a log of questions asked to the agent and its answers, and, only if you ask it to book a meeting, your name and email. There is no advertising, no cookies, no third-party trackers, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
What is collected
- Chat messages. What you type is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a reply. Each question and answer is also saved so Matt can see what visitors ask and improve the agent. Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped out before anything is saved.
- Booking details. If you book a meeting, the name, email, and reason you give are written to a Google Calendar event and emailed to Matt. You are added as a guest so you get a normal calendar invite.
- Usage analytics. The page you view, the link or button you click, the site that referred you, your country and your device type. You are counted with an anonymous id made from a one-way hash of your IP address, browser and the date. It can’t be turned back into your IP, and it changes every day, so you aren’t followed from one day to the next.
- IP address. Held briefly in memory to rate limit abuse, and used for the daily hash above. The address itself is never stored.
Who it goes to
- Anthropic — processes chat messages to generate replies.
- Google Calendar — receives booking details to create the event and email you the invite.
- Vercel — hosts the site and handles requests.
- Supabase — stores the analytics and the saved questions and answers.
That is the complete list.
What the agent can see
Worth stating plainly, because it is a common worry: the agent cannot read Matt’s calendar events. It has no tool that returns event details. To find open time it queries free/busy, which returns nothing but opaque busy ranges — no titles, no attendees, no companies. It cannot tell you who else Matt is meeting because it has no way to find out. The full tool list is published at /spec.
Your data
To have a booking, a conversation or any other details removed, email Matt and they will be deleted.
